With the mobilization of the first 10 trucks of river stone from La Ribereña de Chávez Avenue in the city of Barinas, the regional government began the work of adapting the agricultural road in the José Antonio Páez parish of the Pedraza municipality, an action aimed at facilitating the exit and distribution of food production from the area.
The Secretary General of the Government, Zenaida Gallardo, reported that the assistance plan directly addresses agreements established with the local agricultural sector, which produces approximately 6 million kilograms of rice. She emphasized that the intervention is being carried out in coordination with the policies of the national government and Governor Adán Chávez to strengthen rural infrastructure.
For her part, Josefina Herrera, president of the Livestock Association of the José Antonio Páez parish, acknowledged the effectiveness of the deployment, highlighting that the work began just two days after the working groups with the authorities were established.
The road maintenance plan will continue progressively in critical sections to ensure the mobility of agricultural products that supply the national market.
