The National Federation of Livestock Farmers of Venezuela (Fedenaga) launched a new strategic reorganization plan for its first 100 days in office, as announced by its president, José Labrador de Jesús Amaya.
The announcement was made during a meeting at the facilities of the Barinas State Rural Producers Association (Asobarinas). The event was attended by the Vice Minister of Industrial and Commercial Development, Inder Romero; representatives from Fedecámaras; members of the Fedenaga executive committee; and leaders from 11 livestock associations in the region.
Labrador emphasized that the new union management will be results-oriented and seeks to structure an active presence in 18 agricultural states, initially working with more than 71 integrated production associations throughout the national territory.
Likewise, the board ratified the deployment of the 2030 Livestock Development Master Plan, a strategic roadmap that will be consolidated through working groups and technical consultations with experts from the Venezuelan countryside to raise the levels of production and institutionalization of the sector.
“We are developing a national plan that addresses several key areas. The project must include proposals on infrastructure, financing, comprehensive security, genetics, biotechnology, training, and sustainability,” he said.
He emphasized that his work is focused on increasing the country's meat and dairy production, and therefore prioritizes the growth of the national herd and the organization of the industry.
