The Regional Government oversaw operations at the Maracay Central Terminal, ensuring the mobility of vacationers to the Aragua coast with the availability of 18 fully operational transport units.
The inspection was led by Governor Joana Sánchez, along with the commander of the Aragua Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI), General Carballo Sánchez, as part of the security and comprehensive support plan for the Easter holiday. During their tour of the facilities at the state's main land port, the authorities personally verified passenger traffic and compliance with established safety regulations.
This deployment of public transportation units has the primary objective of ensuring efficient and comfortable transport for citizens to the towns of Ocumare de la Costa and Choroní. This logistical plan aims to reduce waiting times and ensure a steady flow of visitors to the Aragua coast during peak season.
In addition to monitoring compliance with established fare collection rates, authorities made a strong appeal to citizens' shared responsibility for preserving the marine ecosystem, urging visitors not to litter on the sand and to use the containers provided along the coast. Under the premise of maintaining clean beaches, the aim is to ensure that leisure time is compatible with protecting the natural spaces that define the region's tourism potential.
In this way, the regional government seeks to consolidate the state as a top-tier tourist destination during this holiday season. The main objective is to ensure a positive experience for both those hosting visitors and the families who choose Aragua's beaches to relax and enjoy their free time.
