A total of 68 people from Aragua, specifically from the town of Santa Cruz and surrounding areas, benefited from the free delivery of 138 dental prostheses during a comprehensive oral rehabilitation day held at the local headquarters of Misión Sonrisa.
This activity was aimed at restoring aesthetic functionality, confidence and quality of life to the beneficiary patients, in an institutional operation led by Mayor Tony García, along with the regional director of the program, Abelardo García, and the municipal director, Kimberly de Armas.
During the meeting held at the "In Honor of the Giant Hugo Chávez" Commune, the local leader highlighted the consistency of the work being carried out in the jurisdiction with the objective of exceeding the monthly reach of the attention directed to the communities of the point and circle.
For their part, the regional and local authorities of the program highlighted the commitment shown by all the multidisciplinary staff, emphasizing the technical and human value necessary to guarantee prior oral sanitation and the specialized preparation of each dental piece.
Furthermore, the center's management reminded the community that the unit is dedicated exclusively to the manufacture and installation of prostheses, which is why it does not offer general dentistry services within its facilities.
Due to this dynamic of care, those interested must first go to the nearest outpatient clinic or CDI to have cleanings or extractions done, after which the dentist will issue the medical referral with which they can go to the Santa Cruz de Aragua headquarters during the first five days of each month to process their evaluation.
