Simultaneous Sovereign Field Fairs in Apure Benefit Families

7 families benefited from 22 tons of food

A total of 22 tons of food were distributed to more than 7,000 families in Apure state during a day of the Sovereign Field Fair. The main operation took place in the Laguna Verde community, part of the Guerreros de Cristo commune in the San Fernando municipality, guaranteeing access to basic products at affordable prices.

During the event, Hoffman Valera, head of the Ministry of Food in the region, highlighted the collaboration between state-owned companies and local producers. This partnership has allowed them to offer a variety of agricultural products, in addition to cheese, eggs, and animal protein, achieving discounts ranging from 70% to 80% compared to the commercial market.

This initiative is part of a weekly deployment that includes 16 simultaneous fairs in 16 communes, extending coverage to the municipalities of Biruaca, Rómulo Gallegos and Pedro Camejo to strengthen food sovereignty in the state.
