Apure surpasses 7.000 registered citizens in Saime operations led by José Antonio Páez

The goal is to exceed 8 procedures with two mobile units.

More than seven thousand people have been issued identity cards in the José Antonio Páez municipality during the deployment of the mobile operation coordinated between the mayor's office, the Apure state government and Saime.

Mayor José Ángel Ramírez stated, during an interview with the radio station Imagen de la Frontera, that by the ninth day of the operation they expect to have processed over eight thousand documents thanks to the simultaneous work of two mobile units in the territory.

The reactivation of the permanent SAIME office in the jurisdiction is part of the commitments made to central and regional authorities, after remaining inoperative for more than seven years. Regarding this matter, Ramírez explained that they maintain constant working groups with the governor's office to evaluate the technical and logistical requirements necessary for its reopening, asking for the public's patience while the priority agreements are finalized to restore this direct service to the border and avoid trips to San Cristóbal.

The local leader emphasized that the operation's logistics were financed with municipal tax revenue, allocating these funds to lodging, hydration, and organized service through lists and a system of scheduled appointments to ensure dignified treatment for users. He stressed that this planned approach eliminated long lines in the open air and overnight vigils, guaranteeing humane treatment and secure access to legal identity documents for the entire population.

The Paez administration confirmed that it will maintain the necessary inter-institutional coordination until the physical and operational recovery of the permanent headquarters is consolidated, ensuring continuous service for the residents of the five parishes of the municipality.
