The Bolivarian National Armed Forces have delivered over 5.700 logistical and technological supplies to units deployed along the Apure border, as part of a strategy to increase operational capacity in the region. The delivery took place at Fort Sorocaima, located in Guasdualito, and includes resources valued at strengthening territorial defense.
Among the equipment received are 13 all-terrain trucks, 13 patrol motorcycles, satellite antennas and state-of-the-art radio communication equipment, which will allow for a more agile response to any eventuality.
This type of equipment reduces the reaction time of military units to incidents, which is key to monitoring the more than 300 kilometers of border line.
The event was led by Major General Rubén Darío Belzares Escobar, head of the Strategic Operational Command, along with representatives of the Bolivarian Army and the Los Llanos REDI (Integral Defense Region). Military spokespeople emphasized that this investment, channeled through the Negro Primero Fund, is part of a comprehensive plan to modernize military infrastructure, which will continue throughout 2026, prioritizing regions with the greatest strategic vulnerability.
