The municipality of Píritu inaugurated its first Community Women's Center "Sonia Mota" this Saturday, bringing the number of these active facilities in the state of Anzoátegui to 31, offering medical, legal and educational support to the female population.
Governor Luis José Marcano toured the facilities accompanied by the First Lady and promoter of the project, Marcia Moreno, and Mayor Lucía Córdova, who highlighted that the center will benefit more than 9.600 women with gynecology consultations, free ultrasounds, entrepreneurship workshops and legal advice.

During the tour, the authorities inspected the medical equipment delivered by the Anzoátegui Health Institute (Saludanz) and paid tribute to Sonia Mota, remembered community leader of Píritu for her work in favor of the rights of pregnant women.
During the event, the regional leader also announced the expansion plan for the Dr. Ovidio González Pediatric Medical Center, located on Bolívar Avenue in Píritu, to strengthen the child care network in the jurisdiction.
"Here we are, preserving peace and building the conditions to reclaim our right to live with dignity," Marcano emphasized.
