Petróleos de Venezuela Sociedad Anónima (Pdvsa) has begun the pilot distribution plan for the so-called "Super Premium" 97-octane gasoline, which will cost $1 per liter and is intended for vehicles with high-compression engines and high technical requirements.
Premium fuel will be distributed at 6 service stations in Caracas, which were chosen "strategically based on criteria of high fuel demand and concentration of users."
The initiative seeks to diversify the fuel supply in the capital city and reintroduce a high-performance product to the national market in order to benefit the Venezuelan vehicle fleet, while also allowing for an evaluation of its consumption level and the response of citizens to an expansion of this service in the national territory.
This is a high-quality gasoline, free of metallic additives, made with a precise mixture of high-octane hydrocarbons obtained from different petroleum refining processes and oxygenated products.
